Facebook Social Plugins Explained

Facebook shared this on their Page this week. It clearly conveys how the new social plugins work and is worth a look if you haven’t seen it yet. I like to think of the social plug-ins as Amazon recommendations with the added benefit of knowing your friends’ “likes” too….and can be added to any website. Additionally, social plug-ins bring more of a users’ friends into that user’s buying and consuming decision-making. Despite the privacy debacle surrounding the launch of these, social plug-ins which Facebook attributes to “instant personalization” do have significant benefits for the web experience.
