Today marks a big milestone as we welcome Joe Wagner, formerly at Facebook and Oculus, as VP of Growth onto the team!
Sociality Squared (S2) was founded in 2010 in New York City before Instagram was ever launched. We – and the social media industry – have come a long way since its early days. Fast forward to over six and a half years later, we’ve had the great privilege of working with an amazing client family that includes Leica Camera, DeNA, and Fitbit’s FitStar and have managed millions of loyal fans in our clients’ communities across platforms. We’re thankful to our clients who let us do what we love every day: connecting people with the brands and what they care about online.
Sociality Squared was first introduced to Joe in 2012 as a client. We love doing amazing social media marketing projects that wow our clients, and it’s a real honor to have someone who we’ve worked with join the team!
Joe likes telling the story about how he was first impressed with Sociality Squared:
“In 2012 at DeNA, we made the decision to take our social media marketing to the next level and hired S2. I was immediately impressed with their hands-on approach and boundless creativity. In the first 6 months of working together, S2 doubled our social following on Facebook and devised a brilliant integrated marketing campaign featuring our two biggest franchises: Blood Brothers and Defender of Trexel, which was a huge hit with our players both in-game and on social.”
Yes, we’re growing and have big plans as we look to 2017, and I couldn’t be more excited to have Joe on the team. Joe’s role will include devising strategies to expand our portfolio and footprint in the social media agency landscape and overseeing client relationships. We offer the trifecta of social media marketing services: strategy, content production, and channel management. Joe is the best person equipped for the task to elevate S2 and better serve our current client family.
Prior to joining S2 as its VP of Growth, Joe helped the world’s top brands build, grow, and learn more about the people who make up their audiences in the partnerships division at Facebook and its virtual reality subsidiary Oculus. Before that, he led mobile gaming giant Supercell’s community team and built out its engagement marketing capabilities.
From 2010-2013, Joe served as Director of Player Relationships for DeNA, another mobile gaming leader, where he was responsible for customer service, community management, and digital marketing and first met S2 as a client!
